Ronaldo is back
After over a decade away, Cristiano Ronaldo is set for a return to Manchester United.

How Ronaldo can wear the no.7 shirt
However, will Ronaldo actually be able to wear his iconic no.7 shirt now he has returned to Manchester?
That number is currently taken by Edinson Cavani. And, as per Dale Johnson of ESPN, Premier League rule M.5 clearly states that Cavani must keep the no. 7 shirt for the whole season.
There are, however, a couple of ways Ronaldo could end up with the no.7 shirt this season.
Firstly, as per Johnson, Cavani would have to leave United. Or, they must get special dispensation from the Premier League board. That has never been done before, but could the PL make an exception for such an iconic figure?
